Supporting Spirituality SuccessOur work has taken all over the northwest of England in recent months... Retreat day for staff of Holy Cross sixth form college, Bury was held at TABOR in Preston. On a theme of journey we shared a really special day of peace and reflection. INSET for ALL Hallows Penwortham and their feeder primary schools focused on our faith journeys and provided time to think, to pray, to chat, to share ... Retreat for Stonyhurst college led by Supporting Spirituality and a team of college students we trained to work with us... Our Lady of the Assumption primary in Blackpool shared a great INSET on collective worship creating systems and plans to help staff to work together... St Mary's Fleetwood focused on telling the story across two INSET sessions as we unpacked ways of bringing the Scriptures alive... Leyland St Mary's Technology College organised an INSET day, gathering staff from the High School and all their feeder primaries for a day out with a difference. A trip to Liverpool saw everyone gather in the Cathedral for a day considering Collective Worship. Workshops offering a chance to experience a range of styles of prayer were supported by conversations about improving provision for collective worship. Resources were considered and structures developed. After Mass in the Crypt and a fine meal we made our way home. A day which offered a chance for personal reflection and professional development was a real success. Well done everyone who was involved. |
